Giselle changed my perception with her OFW story about living/working in Ghana, West Africa šŸ˜

Giselle changed my perception with her OFW story about living/working in Accra, Ghana, West Africa šŸ˜ — shorter version :)

After 11years, finally got a chance to reconnect with Giselle, one of our RMA babies at Concentrix.

I definitely had a lovely and emotional conversation with her. I love how brave she is and absolutely admire the fully developed listening skill. 🄰

In this video, she shared:

  • how brave she is traveling alone to Ghana

  • how she ended up working and living in Ghana

  • Filipinos in Ghana

  • Her working experience with local Ghanaians and other cultures

  • A bit of Twi language lesson

  • Possible work in Ghana

  • Weather in Ghana

  • Ghana’s response to Covid and 2 Pinoys died with Covid

  • her thoughts on Pinoys negative reaction to the Philippine government response to Covid

  • Multicultural and Local Foods in Ghana

  • Security in Ghana — I was surprised to learn about it!

  • Traffic in Ghana -Bar/Clubs

  • Transportation in Ghana -Beach

  • Charity and Homeless Ghanaians

  • AIDS and Prostitution -Apartment in Ghana

  • Castles in Ghana

  • Racism in Ghana and feeling inferior even in their own country because of skin color

  • Her experience of how Locals thought about Filipinos then it happened 😟

  • Dating experience
